My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: 8 months
Weight: 2.17 kg

Fives is a lovely, outcoming, charming kitty whose foster family had nothing but good things to say about him! He's a true lap cat whose loves to cuddle, like any kitten he's a fan of a good play session and he gets along great with people of all ages. Fives has also lived with a dog and a cat previously and did well with both. This sweet guy can still be nervous in new situations so he might not show how sweet he can be at the shelter, but we promise there's an amazing cat under his initially nervous exterior. Fives does have a heart condition that will require lifelong medication - interested adopters will be provided with his medical file to share with their vet prior to adoption. Come meet this boy described as "happiness incarnate" today!

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
