My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Midnight is a 6 year old neutered male cat who was brought into us with 9 other cats as an owner surrender group. He has spent much of his life living in a dog kennel in a home. He gets along great with other cats and loves the community cat room and all of the space to stretch his legs now. He uses the litterbox like a good kitty. His adoption fee is $70 and includes his neuter, microchip, vaccinations and negative felv/fiv test. Please call 630-553-9256 or email animalcontrol@kendallcountyil.gov if you are interested in adopting.

More about this shelter

Kendall County Animal Control is the county agency responsible for enforcement of the state statutes governing rabies control in domestic companion animals. The State of Illinois requires that all dogs are vaccinated against rabies by a licensed veterinarian. Compliance with this law is monitored through the issuance of rabies tags for all dogs residing in the county. All dogs are required to wear their rabies tags when off of the owner's property. If a pet is lost, rabies tags also provide an excellent means of identifying your pet.

Kendall County Animal Control also enforces the county's ordinance that prohibits dogs from running at large in unincorporated residential subdivisions, investigates reports of animal bites, and will pick up contained stray dogs in unincorporated Kendall County during operating hours. Stray and owner released cats and dogs may also be brought to the facility during business hours. Cats and dogs are available for adoption at the facility.
