Here's what the humans have to say about me:
** If you are interested in adopting Marie, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ **
There's nothing quite like puppy energy and silliness! Marie is 4 months old and is currently 15 lbs. Her estimated full grown weight is around 50 lbs. She is believed to be a German Shepherd / Lab mix, and she is just adorable!!
Marie is starting out with great energy and a very lovable temperament. She’s very beautiful with her soft baby fur and sweet eyes.
Marie was a product of an accidental litter in New Mexico, and their neighbor just so happened to be our longterm foster and rescue partner. She took Marie in, and now we are searching for the perfect forever home for Marie.
Since Marie is just a puppy, she's a blank slate just waiting for a kind and patient human to show her the way.
Farfel's Rescue feels very strongly that every dog deserves the opportunity for formal, positive reinforcement/force-free training. We therefore aren't willing to adopt out to a home that doesn't choose to offer this training opportunity. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of approved positive reinforcement/force-free virtual and in-person trainers in your area.
Marie is up to date on her vetting/vaccinations to be in line with our commitment to only adopting out healthy dogs. She is spayed as well.
Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial.
Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year.
