What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
I adopted Cosmo from the Oakland Animal Shelter in January 2022 when he was 11 months old (Birthday: March 4, 2021). Cosmo is an only child and a very sweet and playful cat. He knows his name when called and is also leash trained- he loves to explore outside. He also loves birdwatching out the window or even on the patio (second story patio, he doesn't jump down). He will hunt and eat any insect in the house. He has been trained to not jump on the kitchen counter. When he gets sleepy he lets you trim his nails with no issues. He is not a shy cat and loves to be in the mix when people are over. Cosmos new owner would be someone who is playful and lives in a place with lots of windows or if you wanted to transition him into an indoor/outdoor cat. Cosmo was fostered twice before I adopted him and unsure if he has been around kids or other cats, but he has been exposed to dogs and was very curious and playful. I have some devices, toys, and cat food I can give to the new owner.
