Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Diesel is a big. fluffy boy with a big, fluffy heart! He came here to SAMS after a previous owner didn't want him anymore.
He loves to lick faces, and gets excited to have company, but will quickly settle down. Once he settles, he might consider sprawling across your lap, so be prepared for a not-so-small lapdog!
So far we think he only knows sit, but he is a very smart and treat motivated dog. (His favorite so far is wet cat food) He has also lived with other dogs and children in the past.

Stray Animal Midway Shelter (SAMS) was incorporated in 2010 with our focus being spay neuter assistance. In Noovember of 2013 SAMS purchased property and now operates as a no-kill shelter in Peoria County. We work closely with local and surrounding county shelters and obtain healthy and adoptable pets that would otherwise be euthanized for lack of space. SAMS receives no funding from government, state, county or municiple entities and are funded solelyby fundraising and donations. You can help by volunteering, adopting and donating to our cause.
