Meet Pete, a 1-year-old German Shepherd mix. Pete is such an awesome dog. He is happy and excited to meet anyone that comes up to him. Scout has very traditional shepherd colors but has a longer and fuller coat. He does well on his leash and loves to get out any opportunity to explore and sniff around the park. Pete is going to make a loving and loyal companion. The kind people that found Pete said that he is great in the outdoor dog run. He doesn't soil his run but waits to be walked. Pete doesn't seem to have experience in car rides. The finders didn't house him with their other dog but did see Pete play bow through the fence. Pete let's you hold his paws, look in his ears, and brush him. He is very excited to see people and will jump up. He does know sit.

Our mission is to help you find a pet that meets your expectations and lifestyle. You’re invited to visit with a prospective pet in one of our "Meet N' Greet" rooms. We also offer "Meet N' Greets" for adopters wishing to introduce a current dog to a potential new playmate.

We are a private, nonprofit animal welfare organization proud to be serving the people and animals of Yakima County for over 100 years.
