My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A SWEET & LUCKY GIRL:  Approx. 4 years old / Approx. 20 lbs.

Hi, my name’s Daniela!  I’ve have had a tough time of it lately – coming to animal control after being hit by a car with lots of road rash and what seemed to be an already healing minor break in my pelvis.  Like I said, tough luck lately.  Thankfully, my luck changed when Mostly Mutts rescued me, and they have been taking great care of me while I heal.  Now I’m ready to find my very own family to love!

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I’ve been reactive towards the other dogs I’ve met at Mostly Mutts, so I should be your only dog. / Cats unknown. / I recently met children (age 10+) at Mostly Mutts and liked them, so if you have kids around that age, let’s meet and best no toddlers.

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  The volunteers know me as ‘a happy little tail wagger’.  Though I can be a bit nervous initially, I am a sweet, affectionate girl and will charm you with my friendly nature. / My energy level is 4 – 6, but it may increase a little in the future.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I will be learning lots of great doggie commands with my trainer. I can catch treats when you toss them to me, so that’s fun! Check back soon to see my progress. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / I've been having some accidents on the shelter schedule so please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can master my potty skills.

• LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love attention and always enjoy collecting all the petting that comes my way. I’m happy when the volunteers bring out the toys too. My nice shorter walks with the volunteers are something I look forward to and we have a great time because my leash manners are very nice. / I don’t like walking near traffic, so the volunteers are kind enough to take me to the MM play yard when it’s a busy time on the road.  A quieter place to walk and a nice, fenced yard for us to hang out in together would be great in my new home. Otherwise, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, and training.

• MEDICAL: I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. My road rash is healing nicely but I sometimes walk with a little limp from what appears to be a previous small break that had already started healing.  I’m taking an over-the-counter joint supplement which I should stay on and it’s possible that I may develop arthritis a little earlier than some dogs. I have mild tartar on my teeth, so my adoptive family should consult with their vet and consider a dental cleaning in the future.

I am looking for a loving home with a wonderful family!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process

Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following:

Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care.
We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot.
The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org.
Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family!

Adoption Info:
Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. Who We Are:

Mostly Mutts is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization, staffed almost entirely by volunteers!

Our Mission is to help the Unwanted, Abandoned, Abused and Sick animals in our local counties. We fulfill this mission by working closely with County Animal Control Facilities, saving those who are in imminent danger of euthanasia, or those with needs which require specialized vet care that many other groups will not consider: major orthopedic issues, heartworm positive treatment, skin conditions, neglect and abuse
