My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you are a lover of Chocolate Labradors she is a girl you should put on your list to meet. She is a typical Lab in so many ways. Quinn loves to go on her daily walks and is pretty good on leash. She is strong and can pull a bit but with proper tools and handling she does pretty well. We believe she lived her life in a back yard probably lived on concrete or dirt with little protection from the sun. Her chocolate coat is very sunburned and coarse but with proper food and a loving environment we already are seeing her coat soften and turn darker. She had a rough life in her first go around so we are looking for a family who will commit to making her life better. Families who know the needs of Labradors, who will walk and exercise her daily are ideal. We are looking for a semi active family who can take her on hikes or to the beach to introduce her to more encounters in life. She is getting to see more of the outside world everyday and learning to be more comfortable. She is good with people and with other dogs. Unfortunately we have no information about her and cats. Quinn is in a foster home with several dogs and humans and is flourishing. She is both house and crate trained. Quinn is not an active barker but will whine if you take one of the other dogs for a walk and leave her behind, we don't blame her! She is easy during the day and can be crated for up to 5-6 hours. If you are home she will lay in the room with you and nap. She loves to chew on bones and plays with some of our toys. She is a patient girl who is eager to learn and to please. If you think you are ready to add to your family by adopting Quinn, then fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website today! We recommend completing the questionnaire and connecting with an adoption coach before looking for a dog or puppy you'd like to adopt. If you're already approved to adopt or if you've adopted from Labs and More before, connect with your adoption coach for the next steps. Your interest in adopting a rescued dog or puppy from Labs and More Rescue is appreciated! Please find our adoption information at www.labsandmore.org. Your adoption donation provides funding for Labs and More, a nonprofit organization which is supported solely by Volunteers and funded by donations. Good news is your adoption donation can be considered tax deductible. So much care is provided to your new dog prior to the adoption, including: spay and neuter, microchip, veterinarian visit(s), vaccinations, and other medical care as needed. Many of the dogs we rescue require extensive surgeries and care prior to adoption. Please understand we are unable to predict future behavior or medical needs of your adopted dog. We provide no guarantees regarding behavior, breed, or age of the dogs. Thank you for rescuing. Thank you for looking to Adopt a Labrador Retriever or other Mixed Breed Dog from California Labradors Retrievers and More Rescue. More about this rescue

Labs and More is one of the broadest rescues in Southern California. We are a Non Profit - Grassroots - Volunteer run Organization. We adopt to patient, kind and respectful families who partner with our Volunteers throughout the adoption process. Matching families with appropriate dogs is our priority so we strive to adopt to the family who best matches with the dog. This year our Volunteers celebrated the adoption of our 14,000th Dog. We rescue for need not for breed and search out dogs that without our help have no chance of getting adopted from shelters. This year alone over 300 dogs in our care will get needed surgery, life-saving treatment, or other major medical care. We take in hundreds of pregnant moms who will be able to deliver their puppies in the safety of a home and in loving arms. All our dogs and puppies are spayed or neutered prior to being adopted.

We cannot save them all but we will save all we can with support from generous supporters, people like YOU!
