This helps Heartland Small Animal Rescue with pet care costs.
Sunny is a 3-5 year old male bearded dragon. He came in as an owner surrender. Sunny was quite small when he came to us, I can only assume he did not have proper lighting before and has stunted growth. Since coming in he has been doing great! Sunny has grown so much! He eats great on dubia roaches, superworms, dark leafy greens and occasional hornworms. Sunny is currently in a 40 gallon open front enclosure but will need a 75 gallon or ideally a 4x2x2 enclosure going forward. He loves to run around his enclosure and climb, jump and explore. Any additional decor pieces would be great for him to investigate. He will require a t5 10.0 or 12% linear UVB fixture and heat lamp for basking. Sunny will require someone who can work with him on handling as he is a bit spicy inside the enclosure. Sunny doesn't love when you come into his space and has charged, but as soon as he's in your space he calms right down. A little patience and consistency and he will settle in. If you have any questions about sunny or his enclosure needs please don't hesitate to ask.
