My name is Skylar!

Meet 4 year old Skylar, who is such a sweetheart! She is timid at first, we think in part due to her limited vision (it appears she can see up close but not distance). Overall she is a gentle gal. She walks well on the leash and know some commands like "sit". She does like squeaky toys, and although she enjoys you throwing a ball for fetch, she can't really retrieve the ball. But she still has fun anyways. When Skylar is with people her personality shines, she is made out of 100% love and wiggles. She has also begun walks with other dogs and has done well, so we think she can live with other dogs as long as properly introduced.
Years ago she ate a frog, and they think that is what is causing the vision issues. She does take some medication for her eyes but she has become much better about not turning her head away. If you would like to meet this gentle girl, come visit her at the Humane Society of Charles County MD today!
