My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Animal Profile: Willow is an estimated 2 to 3-year-old, 35 lb spayed female mixed breed -- possibly border collie or McNab with lab -- who was found as a stray in Texas along with her buddy Remi, and taken in by one of our rescue partners. She enjoys the company of other dogs and is friendly with people; her TX caretaker says she would be a great agility dog! We will share more about her as we get to know her in foster care.

Foster Update: Willow has settled in beautifully with her foster. She loves to play with toys and zoomies are a favorite past time. Willow is a sweet and cuddly girl who loves to meet new people and friendly with all dogs she’s encountered. She’s working to learn leash manners and has a few of the basic commands down. Willow is a smart girl and with help will pick up so much more than the basics she’s already mastering. Her foster mom says she does great on car rides and settles in calmly at home after their walks. We will continue to post more about Willow as we get to know her more.

Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.
