Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Chocolate Latte's mission is to treat every day as a new adventure and is looking for his perfect partner-in-crime (of the good kind!). He LOVES playing with stuffy toys and balls, and don't even get him started about how much fun going on walks is!
Chocolate Latte is happy, squishy faced and beautiful! Hobbies: Howling at the moon, giving you sad eyes for treats, and long ear scratches. He is a playful pup with a face that'll melt your heart.
Chocolate Latte is around 3 years old and has some energy! He loves to play with toys and will entertain himself if you can't at the time! He seems house trained as he keeps his kennel clean.

More about this shelter
For over a century, the Humane Society of Scott County has been a cornerstone of our community, making it a better place for both people and pets. While our mission has evolved to meet changing needs, one thing has remained constant—we are unwavering advocates for those who cannot help themselves.
As the only open-intake shelter in Scott County, we are a lifeline for animals with nowhere else to go—regardless of age, health, breed, or behavior. Without us, lost, abandoned, and at-risk pets would have no safe haven. But our work goes beyond sheltering animals—we are deeply committed to helping the people. Being a resource to pet owners allows us to do what’s best for animals and their people too.
That’s why we provide essential resources to help keep pets in the homes that love them. From low-cost vaccine and microchip clinics to our free pet food pantry, we’re here to support both animals and the people who care for them. Because at the Humane Society of Scott County, we believe that when pets and people thrive together, the entire community benefits.
