My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

GiGi is an exceptionally sweet 4 year old female pyr who's reserve and gentle confidence touches the heart of everyone she meets. GiGi is small for a Great Pyrenees. She was rescued from a neglectful situation and came to her foster family emaciated with a thin, dry, smelly coat and an infected spay incision. With a good diet, fresh air, love and medication she has blossomed into a beautiful little girl with a shiny, silky coat. She is a calm, gentle pyr who is not overly active. GiGi would make an excellent companion for a handicapped, or elderly person and with training would make an exceptional "therapy dog". While she has had no obedience training GiGi accepts the control of a leash. She is smart and willing to please. GiGi is sometimes hesitant when she encounters new, or stressful situations, but with gentle encouragement she is willing to trust and doesn't get "rattled". Her barking is appropriate to a situation and has never been excessive. In the barnyard she is calm and mildly curious of farm animals and would do well as a family pet on a farm. She has excellent dog manners, is gentle with cats and trustworthy inside the house, where she is respectful of belongings. GiGi will do best as an inside dog with outside privileges to a fenced yard -- no wireless fences. GiGi is not crate trained. To look into GiGi's eyes is to look at living spirit. Her greatest desire is to love and be loved by her very own family. Will you open your heart and home to this beautiful girl? An adoption application, site visit, and securely fenced yard are required to adopt GiGi.
