My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"Act your age! Don't you know you're a senior?!" or "You can't teach an old dog new tricks." Lily wholeheartedly disagrees with both sentences. If you also think age is just a number, let us tell you about the best girl in town.
Lily is a 7 year old, 75# pitbull mix. While on paper, that may make her a senior, spend a little time with Lily, and you'll agree she is NOT a senior.
Lily is potty trained, doesn't need to be crated, and walks like she's been doing it her whole life. Training is her favorite. She loves learning new things, especially when you have the *good* treats out. Canine fitness, agility, scentwork, hiking.. you name it, she's done it and would do it again.
After raising multiple litters, Lily is done having babies (she's spayed) and doesn't want to live with any young rambuctious dogs. She would probably love having a respectful dog friend, or a tiny dog and would definitely love having some human children to love. Snuggles mixed with adventures is the key to Lily's heart. And snacks, she looooooooves snacks.
Come fly in the face of aging with Lily, she's like Paul Rudd but a dog. Who knows, maybe she found the fountain of youth? Adopt Lily and ask her yourself.

More about this rescue

Canine Cupids' mission is to protect and improve the lives of homeless, neglected, and exceptional needs dogs and to place them in permanent, loving homes.

Canine Cupids is a Certified 501c3 Organization
DATCPLicense: 288601-DS

Canine Cupids work with animals, within our community and throughout our organization is guided by three core values: compassion, integrity and dedication.

Because every animal deserves to be loved, we feel it is our moral responsibility to protect and improve the lives of abused, abandoned, and homeless dogs, and to place them in loving permanent homes.

We strive to work with animal control agencies as well as other rescues and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless pets within our community.

At Canine Cupids our founding principle is that "ALL dogs are individuals and deserve to be regarded as such". This mindset is core to the belief system at The Animal Farm Foundation. It assists in securing equal treatment and opportunity for "pit bull" dogs - as well as all dogs, regardless of size, color, etc.

"We owe it to all dogs to see them for who they really are, free of prejudice, stereotypes, and assumptions that are based on a known pedigree, a breed label guess, physical appearance, or their past history."*

"Breed related traits are not guaranteed. If a dog does conform to breed traits that does not mean a dog isn't an individual! Breed characteristics may contribute to a dog?s individuality, but they are not the whole story." *

Don't judge a book by its cover and don't judge a pooch by its stereotype!
