GODFREY - ID#A042593

Meet Godfey, meaning gorgeous and kind are ye red huskies. Not really but that would be cool wouldn't it? Godfrey is actually German and means God is peace. Godfrey is a gorgeous red and white male Siberian Husky. He is purebred and simply beautiful. Red huskies have a special place in my heart and always have such exuberant personalities. Typical eye coloring for the red huskies are amber colored or blue. It is hard to tell from this photo. Godfrey is approx. 5yrs old. The shelter has him listed as 8 but they tend to over guess, *cough* always.. ahemm... Godfrey does look much younger and so rescue is calling him 5. He might even be 4 years old. He's very young looking. Godfrey much prefers 4 to 5 years old as well. He has such a kind and sweet face. So angelic, and peaceful just like the name. Please come meet Godfrey in person. He very much wants and deserves a loving family of his own. Godfrey is neutered, up to date on shots and ready to go home with his forever family today. He was somebody's pet once....now he's waiting for you.I have been at the shelter since May 01, 2006. For more information about this animal, call: Irvine Animal Care Center at 949-724-7741. Ask for information about animal ID number A042593.

Huskies make great family pals, and love the companionship of other canines medium to xlarge size. They are a pack animal and consider there humans part of their pack. Because of this they truly enjoy being with there humans and canine friends. They are a fun, happy and active breed that promises to make you laugh and keep you smiling. As with any canines they need love and attention to be happy. This breed was born to run, and can be an escape artist easily scaling 6ft fences or finding the one weak spot in your yard. The Siberian Husky can NEVER be trusted off leash or in an ungated area for this reason. Many Huskies are hit by cars, stolen for their beauty, or lost and never returned. Please keep your Siberian Husky leashed and safe, and add needed locks to gates. They’re counting on you! Please read up on the breed to educate yourself, or contact rescue for advice on your new canine friend AFT E R adopting. Rescue volunteers will always be there to help you! Please note when adopting a Husky from the shelter – this breed is not cat friendly. If you have a cat please make sure it IS cat friendly.
