My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey there, hi there, ho there, I'm as happy as can be! My name is Boris and I am the handsomest, 2 year old, big guy you will ever meet. I love to play. I will play with people, big dogs, small dogs, cats, whoever wants to have a good time I am there! I am also pretty good at snuggling so if you need a big blanket on a cold windy day, I'm your man. I am at HEA because of an incident that occurred in my last home. My parents had their three year old grandchild over at the house. The three year old was pulling on my ears and blowing in my face. I went to bark at her to tell her it hurt and she put her head forward toward my mouth. My teeth got on her and they brought her to the doctor. Needless to say, my family's insurance company told them that if they didn't get rid of me, they would lose their homeowner's insurance. My dad told HEA that he would rather surrender his granddaughter and keep me if he could but that idea wasn't going over so well with the rest of the family :-). I've been exposed to all sorts of people and kids here at the sanctuary and have never had any problems, it's just that the little girl put her head forward while I was barking and I caught her. I didn't try to bite her and when she stuck her head forward I walked away, so I wasn't trying to hurt her. Please give me a chance. I know you won't regret it. I am an excellent, fabulous, wonderful boy! Just ask the people here at HEA! ~Snuggles, Boris Update: I was adopted after writing the above letter, but I had another "biting" incident" in the my new home. No one knows exactly what happened, if I was overwhelmed or why I did it, so HEA is not currently looking to place me in a home but are giving me sanctuary here at HEA. Since I am just chillin' here at HEA, I could really use a sponsor. I never have had any problem with any visitors when I meet them at HEA, so you could even come and say hi to me. The staff here thinks I might just get a little overwhelmed in a home environment (the last people were told not to have lots of people over right away and give me time to adjust, but the day after they got me, they had a first communion party with LOTS of people at the house). So I am told, I'm probably not a bad dog, just been put in some bad situations. However, for now, HEA is the safest place for me to be.
