Honey is just the sweetest young lady! She's house trained and loves her crate. She enjoys rolling in the grass, chasing squeaky toys, chewing on bones and giving kisses. She is doing well with walking on a leash and I love to smell all the things in the big wide world.
Honey did not have the easiest start to life. She was found in a city dump surviving on trash. She has infested with fleas and had almost no hair left on her body. She was itchy, raw, painful, and had a skin infection. She is now on prescription food & daily apoquel. This has helped her skin tremendously and she is doing much better!
We have learned that Honey is a cautious gal. She loves to snuggle and play with her toys, but would prefer to the only pet in your home. She doesn't mind other dogs, she just doesn't want them in her space. Same with the cats. She will ignore them if they ignore her, but she doesn't like them in her face.
Honey would do best in a home that did not have constant people coming and going. She has a "stranger danger" bark that alerts when newcomers enter her space. Although she can easily be won over with a few treats, she would thrive in a quieter home.
