My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

When this sweet little dog’s owner named him Misery (yes, it’s true), she must have known what was in store for him.
None of the neighbors had ever seen him (had he ever been outside?), he’d never eaten anything but table scraps, and he’d never (in 3 years) been to the vet. His nails were so long that they curled around each other, and every step was painful.
And when the elderly owner was taken to the hospital, the family simply left him behind, telling the police “nobody wants him anyway.”
It took me almost 20 minutes to coax the shivering little dog from the back of his cage at the police station. But as terrified as he was, he never once thought of growling or snapping.
When he finally settled in my arms and felt the comfort of human touch, he let out a thankful sigh. “This is what I’ve been waiting for,” he seemed to say.

All Muncie needs now is a joyful new life to go with his new name. Are you Munci’es hero?
About our little peanut:
•3-year-old Chihuahua-mix; 15 pounds; has shots; will be neutered
•The sweetest, gentlest boy in the world; loves absolutely everyone—people, dogs, cats!
•Loves to talk (makes the cutest little pig grunts when he’s happy or excited)
•Loves other dogs—and cats too! His foster dog-sister is teaching him how to be a dog, and he’s loving every minute!
