- Salem is part of our Home for the Holidays adoption promotion, which means her adoption fee is 50% off!- I came from a home that had way too many animals so I think I’m pretty much done living with other 4-legged ones. After all, there is something special about being able to stretch on a cat bed or relax on someone’s lap for a cuddling session. I’m a mellow cat, always on the look-out for people that will pet me. Save-A-Pet is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and one of the largest no-kill cat and dog rescues in Lake County that operates a full-time adoption center. Our adoption center strives to create an environment which enhances both awareness of and support for the humane treatment of animals.
