Atticus's Story...
Ladies and Gentlemen, introducing Atticus, who is such a gentleman himself! He is 9 years old and has lived with his family since he was 8 weeks old. Unfortunately, they had to move and could not keep him. He previously lived with other dogs, cats and children so he is a well rounded guy. He is gentle on the leash and doesn't pull to get where he wants to go. He still very much enjoys playing and gets real excited if you have treats to give out, you can hear him "speaking" for his treats on his video. He loves to be by his person and if you let him will snuggle up next to you on the couch, but he is just as happy on a blanket or bed on the floor by you. He is trustworthy in the house, knows the ropes and still has a lot of love to give to a new family. Fill out an application for Atticus today, he is sure to be a popular guy! He is being fostered with Karen in Jacksonville.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Atticus, a Albany Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Albany, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Albany.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Albany already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Albany breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Albany paves the way for another one to be saved.
