My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mollie. We believe she is an Australian cattle dog and German shepherd mix. So, obviously that means she's very intelligent. The vet believes she is anywhere between the ages of 5-8, but her age doesn't slow her down. She loves to go on walks, run, and play fetch. Although she needs her daily walk, she's perfectly happy lying by your feet or chewing on a bone. The cutest thing about her as soon as you start petting her back, she flops over asking for a belly rub.

Mollie is very well-mannered (comes with the mature age); she has never had an accident or chewed anything she isn't supposed to. We do believe she may be a bit hard of hearing. She responds when we call her, but sometimes she doesn't hear subtle noises. It doesn't affect her wonderful personality (maybe she just has selective hearing loss haha!) This most likely is just something that happened as she has gotten older, but it is nothing that would need to be monitored by a vet, she is completely healthy.

Her ideal home: Mollie would do great in many lifestyles. She is good with small kids and gets along well with other dogs and should be fine with cats once she meets them. She is a very "low-maintenance" dog meaning she doesn't need much training, and although she needs at least one walk a day, she has a very low-key demeanor and warms up to people right away. She would be a great first dog for someone who is looking for the companionship but not necessarily the heavy training that is needed for most young adult dogs. She runs with such grace and you can tell she loves the outdoors so she would work best with a family that shares that interest. Mollie is UTD and spayed.

If you would like to meet Mollie, please fill out an application and a MCSPCA volunteer will contact you within a couple of days. Alternatively, you can meet Mollie at an adoption event. For more information, visit www.mcspca.org.
