My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bunny is a shy little cat, in a big boy body. Bunny was named after the funny little hops he first did as he was learning to play and chase toys and his adorable white "bunny feet". He loves a crazy roughhousing session with his friends and has gained so much confidence as his playful athletic skills have grown.

Born outside as community cats, he and his 2 brothers have all tamed up beautifully and adore a good snuggle. Bunny has a sweet sensitive side and his regal little face tends to show what he's feeling. So with loving reassurance and affection he continues to blossom into the friendly and affectionate kitty he is meant to be.

His shape and coloring was once described as that of a "Turkish Van" pure white with black markings on his head and tail. Bunny has a long beautiful black tail with a white tip on the end and he is longer and more lean with a handsome expressive face.

Once he builds trust, Bunny will accept being picked up and held especially when he gets little face scratchies at the same time and he allows kisses on his head and face. He recently has started using his purr motor but it hasn't gotten loud yet. Bunny will provide you with endless hilarity and plenty of warm kitty snuggles over the years.

He is an especially good match with his boyfriend and flame, Robert Smith (KRLA-A-8017). They like to wrestle and cat call each other.

Additional adoption info

We adopt animals to homes in the Los Angeles area and neighboring counties.

To help ensure that we place our cats in loving, responsible, committed homes, we have a screening process before you can adopt a pet from Kitten Rescue. We reserve the right to turn down potential adopters as we deem necessary. First, we ask that you complete our Adoption Questionnaire at kittenrescue.org/cat-adoption-form/. You can complete the form online or you may stop by a weekly adoption event to complete form in person. Second, a home visit or a home delivery of the cat or kitten is also required as part of our adoption process.

The Kitten Rescue adoption fee is $150 for a kitten or cat up to 10 years old, and $100 for each additional kitten or cat to the same household ($250 if you adopt a pair). Cats above 10 years old have a fee reduction of 50%, for an adoption fee of $75 each.

All of our cats have already been:
Spayed or neutered
Vaccinated – with at least one FVRCP vaccination
Treated for fleas
Dewormed
Tested for FeLV (Feline Leukemia) and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus)
Microchipped

More about this rescue

Kitten Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. We rescue cats and kittens from the streets of Los Angeles and from City Shelter euthanasia. Since our start in 1997, we have grown into one of the largest, most well-respected animal welfare groups in LA.

Kitten Rescue volunteers adopt out over 2,000 cats and kittens into homes every year. We educate the public about responsible pet guardianship, how to care for kittens and cats, and the importance of spaying and neutering. Kitten Rescue makes educational material available via events, print, school presentations and here on our website. We also provide Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) assistance for communities in and around Los Angeles, and teach people how to manage and care for feral cat colonies.
