Hello, furiends! We’d love to introduce you to a very special boy: Buster, a 2-year-old grey and white sweetheart with the biggest heart and the softest soul.
Buster came to us from our friends at Providence Animal Control Center after a heartbreaking start to life—he was found abandoned in an apartment, scared, dehydrated, and emaciated. At the shelter, he was so shut down that he didn’t eat for a week. But everything changed when he moved into the home of one of Scruffy Paws' incredible foster moms. With love, patience, and the support of his feline foster friend Ghost (now adopted!), Buster started to believe in people again.
Today, Buster is a completely different cat. He loves affection—but on his terms. He’s not a fan of being picked up, but he’ll happily jump into your lap when he’s in the mood for snuggles. Once you earn his trust, get ready for full-on nose boops—his signature way of saying, “You’re my person.” (We hear his kisses are legendary.)
Buster is a picky eater when it comes to food, but Greenies treats? Absolute favorite. His top hobbies include sunbeam snoozing and friendly wrestling matches with his kitty pals.
💡 What Buster Needs in a Forever Home:
A quiet home (no children or dogs, please)
A human who’s home often—he thrives on companionship
A friendly, young resident cat to help him feel secure
A dedicated person who will give him time, space, and love to settle in—ideally with a separate room to start in.
After all he’s been through, Buster just wants to feel safe, loved, and never alone again. If you have the heart, patience, and time to continue his journey, Buster will repay you in nose kisses, trust, and a bond like no other.
