Meet Sadie! She is as sweet as can be. She loves all people and gets the zoomies when she is excited. She knows how to sit and loves to play. She has done well walking on a leash with our staff so far. Sadie gets overwhelmed with other dogs and would do best as the only dog in the home.

Our shelter had it's beginnings in the mid 90's and formally became a nonprofit organization in 2001. The dream of Lee and Sophia DiClemente has grown to be the largest no-kill animal shelter in New Mexico. Lee passed in 2010, but Sophia carries on with the support of a small staff, a large number of volunteers, and numerous donors - large and small.
