My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Willis – The Handsome, Howlin’ Hound!

Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce myself—I’m Willis, a 7-year-old Redbone Coonhound and quite possibly the most distinguished gentleman you’ll ever meet. With my rich, red coat and soulful eyes, I’m as handsome as the day is long. But looks aren’t everything—I also come with a heart full of love and a song in my soul!

I take great pride in serenading my people with the melodies of my ancestors, so if you’ve ever wanted your own personal musician (with a deep, houndy voice), I’m your guy! Whether we’re lounging on the porch, going for a leisurely stroll, or settling in for the evening, I’ll be right there—adding my own musical touch to our time together.

I get along just fine with big dogs, but I must insist on a home without small animals—no tiny pups, kitties, or bunnies for me. It’s not personal; it’s just who I am as a Coonhound.

So, if you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and musical companion, I just might be your perfect match! Head over to northwoodshumanesociety.org, click on the Adoptable Animals page, and fill out the dog adoption form. Once that’s done, a canine team member will be in touch to set up a time to meet me.
