My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Thor – The Playful, Fun-loving Warrior
1-year-old | Male

Thor may have started his journey as a street cat, but he’s fully embracing the comforts of indoor life! This long, lean youngster with exotic features is playful, curious, and always ready for fun. Thor has plenty of energy to burn, whether chasing a laser pointer, batting around his favorite ball, or wrestling with a feline friend. But when playtime is over, he’s just as happy curling up on your lap while you read or watch TV at night, perching by a window watching activity in the yard, or lounging under the covers for a cozy nap. He also enjoys belly rubs and will let you trim his nails.

Because Thor spent the first six months struggling to survive outdoors, he can be cautious with new people and situations. But once he adjusts to his new home, he will be a devoted and fun companion.

Thor must be adopted into a home with another cat for companionship and playtime.

Thor is looking for a loving, patient home where he can continue to thrive. Does this sound like a good match for you? Submit an adoption application today at https://www.fofct.org/adoption-application. Applicants must live within 45 miles of Stamford.

Go meet their pets

We don't have a shelter, but some Friends of Felines' cats and kittens are having sleepovers at Just Cats in Stamford or in foster homes. Friends of Felines is also proud to partner with Just Cats Veterinary Hospital, which has been providing veterinary care in our area since 1991. Their facility at 1029 East Main Street in Stamford has an adoption area inside the Just Cats Store on the first level. The Just Cats store and adoption area are open from 8am - 6pm Monday through Friday, and 8 am to 2 pm Saturday. If you would like to schedule a meet-and-greet with any of our cats or kittens, please start by filling out an application (available online at www.fofct.org).

More about this rescue

Friends of Felines is dedicated to helping homeless and forgotten cats in our community by working with our neighbors. We do this through a humane Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR) program, rescuing strays, rehoming cats in bad situations, offering a responsible adoption program, and providing community education. Every cat we help is rescued locally. Based in Stamford, CT, Friends of Felines is a 100% volunteer-run nonprofit organization, recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3).
