My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Here we are again with the economy disrupting the lives of some of our previously adopted dogs. Rosie was taken into a loving home but now that her human has lost her job – and her home – Rosie has come back to us once again. Because she is an adult girl, between seven and eight years old, she is reaching the age where fewer people will want her. Rosie does not deserve to be in this situation. She has been a loving and loyal companion and through no fault of her own is facing upheaval in her life, much like our special boy, Boli (see him on our Dog House page), who also came back to us at an advanced age because of the untimely death of his mistress.

Rosie is an exceptionally gorgeous girl with the traditional black and white coloring and electric blue eyes – the consummate picture of a Siberian Husky. She is obedient, playful and absolutely LOVES children, both small and large. She adores getting petted all day long and sleeps with her legs up in the air out of contentment. She prefers to sleep in her human’s bed and lay her head on the pillow.

Rosie is an escape artist, at the first sign of being able to bolt out of the front door, SHE WILL!! She will howl and talk to you if she needs to go out for a bathroom break and will nudge you with her nose if she wants to go out for play or a walk.

Rosie loves taking walks. While she walks well on her leash she still likes to pull, especially if she sees a cat. She does not like cats and small animals, all of which makes her a typical Siberian Husky. If you've owned one before you will recognize these traits.

Rosie is housebroken, crate trained (although you probably will never need one except during a thunderstorm), heartworm negative, spayed, up to date on shots and microchipped. You can’t go wrong adopting her and giving her a forever home for her remaining years. Fill out an adoption application on our web site, www.siberrescue.com, today and make a difference.
