Here's what the humans have to say about me:
🐾 Meet Ira: Your Future Feline Companion! 🐾
Introducing Ira, a truly special kitty with a heart full of love and a personality that shines! This stunning tortie girl is all about attention and affection—she adores being around her humans and would be thrilled to spend her days lounging in your lap, soaking up all the love and attention you can give.
Ira has an inspiring backstory; she was rescued after bravely giving birth to five kittens in a ditch during the sweltering summer. She was a fantastic mom, but once her little ones grew up, she was ready for a life focused solely on her. Now, Ira is looking for her forever home where she can be the center of your world!
Here’s a little more about Ira:
Age: 2 years (plus)
Personality: Very affectionate, enjoys human companionship, and can be quite the diva!
Home Requirements: Needs to be the only cat in the household—she's not a fan of other felines. She is okay with dogs, though!
Habits: Great litter box manners and doesn’t require any special diet.
Health: Fully vetted, tested, spayed, and microchipped.
If you're looking for a devoted companion who will shower you with love and make your home feel extra special, Ira is the kitty for you! If you think you could be a good match, please reach out to us to learn more about how to bring this lovey-dovey diva into your life. 🐱❤️

After you complete an application, there are several things that we will do:
1. We will check your personal references. Please be sure to list two personal references and include a phone number and an email address. (form asks for one; but I like two)
2. If you do not own your place of residence, we will call your landlord or leasing office. Please check with them first to learn about their pet policy.
3. We will call your veterinarian for a reference. We are looking for a history of annual exams, vaccines maintained routinely, annual heartworm tests and monthly preventatives. We require the following:
* All pets in the home must be spayed or neutered.
* If your pet is not up to date on vaccines, please do not submit the application until you have scheduled an appointment with the vet to get your pets current on their vaccines.
4. If you are a 1st-time pet owner, please include the name and phone number of the veterinarian you plan to use.
5. Be sure to call your Vet(s), giving them permission to speak with us.
6. We may need to do a home visit prior to approving your application, or post-adoption.
If these policies and practices are not acceptable, please do not apply.
