Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Venda was originally surrendered by his owner, along with Xander. He was very nervous, confused and withdrawn when he first arrived. Shortly after Venda came in, he showed his displeasure at losing his home by biting his new caretaker. When the vet examined him, she found his teeth were in terrible condition and he was in considerable pain. That is probably the biggest reason he did not want anyone to handle him. Venda has since had a full mouth extraction. He has zero teeth left, so of course he is on a canned food diet. Venda is still reserved; however, the dental work has definitely changed his outlook for the better. He has progressed to the point that he likes to be petted, but not picked up. Venda was adopted but returned after 4 months for not doing well with children. He still is not a fan of being held, apparently. Venda would probably do best with an older adopter who is quiet and calm. Come in and meet him 11 to 4 Tuesday through Saturday. Venda is neutered, microchipped, current on core vaccines and has tested negative for Fiv/FeLV. It would be awesome if someone would adopt him and name him Toothless, like the awesome little dragon!
