My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

FOSTER OR ADOPT:  Meet Caspian, a very sweet stray kitty who was found living outside an apartment complex, being fed and cared for by a kind neighbor. We’ve got Caspian safely indoors now and are looking for a new foster, or an adopter. He is still very shy and would do best with an experienced person who is willing to work with him and give him time to adjust.

Caspian is a beautiful cat, and once he is comfortable, he loves gentle head scratches.  He has great potential to be a wonderful pet and would do well as an only kitty or with one other gentle sweet cat.

The neighbor who previously cared for Caspian shares her thoughts about him:  "Caspian is friendly and talkative, and he knows his name -- he responds to “Caspi!" He clearly was someone’s pet in the past as he loves human attention. He does great with dogs (he would follow the neighbor around when she walked her dogs). He is one of the sweetest kitties I’ve ever met! He is shy at first but once he opens up, he shows how much he loves affection. He runs to greet you and loves to rub on your legs and follow you around. Caspian purrs when he eats and 'kneads' his paws on the ground with happiness when you talk to him. He is very playful and loves toys!"

Caspian was born in approximately March 2023. He is FIV positive, but FIV+ cats can live just as long and happy, healthy a life as kitties who are not diagnosed positive. FIV+ kitties can live together with cats who are FIV negative so long as they are introduced properly, get along, and do not fight, as the virus is transmitted by deep bite wounds.

More about this rescue

Angus & Friends is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in California. Angus was an approximately 15 y.o. orange tabby found on death's door by people who lived in his neighborhood who assumed he had a home. He didn't, but probably did at one time, because he turned out to be friendly, though very sick. We tried to save him, but he ultimately had to be put down because he was not recovering after a blood transfusion due to flea anemia. Our goal is to help as many homeless cats and kittens as possible to get off the mean streets and find a furrever home.
