Don’t let the name fool you: Lorna Doone is more gingersnap than shortbread cookie. She’s absolutely irresistible, but sometimes, she surprises you with a little spice. Shortbread crumbles under pressure. It melts when things get heated. Lorna Doone does neither—she’s a tough cookie.
Lorna Doone also shares a name with the heroine of a Victorian English romance novel. But she is no damsel in distress. Like her namesake, Lorna Doone is courageous and resilient. But unlike the literary Lorna, this feisty feline is fiercely independent and, at times, maybe even a bit defiant—especially when she feels cornered or threatened. Lorna Doone is a complex character, keeping her humans on their toes. However, with patience, understanding, and treats—lots of treats—an experienced adopter will learn to navigate her moods and help her feel safe.
One thing’s for sure: Lorna Doone can’t resist a tasty morsel. Her weakness for treats could rival even the sweetest tooth. Simply shake a treat bag in her direction, and you’ll have her undivided attention. Use treats wisely, and she just might transform into a purring ball of affection, melting faster than a buttery, tea-dunked shortbread.
With her unpredictable charm and unwavering loyalty, Lorna is sure to pen a tale of love and companionship that’s worthy of a spot on the bestseller list. Take a chance on Lorna Doone, and together, you’ll write the next chapter of your lives—one treat-filled page at a time. Fill out an online adoption application today!
