This gorgeous panther lady was approximately two years old when she entered Kitty Devore foster care in January 2022 after a brief stay at Devore Animal Shelter.
Ellie-Rose loves attention and prefers to have her humans spend all their free time cuddling and petting her. She tries to give them some leeway when it's time to work at the computer, but she just can't help herself... maybe climbing in their lap and kissing their ears will convince them their attention is misplaced? When the situation gets desperate, she resorts to doing the work herself so they have more free time - she has become quite the typist. While Ellie-Rose adores the two-legged creatures in her life, those emotions do not extend to the four-legged varieties. We've observed she would thrive best in a calm home where no other cats distract her humans from their one and only. It would be ideal if they are experienced with feline body language so they can accurately interpret her intentions when she's in a feisty mood.
Are you looking for a loving house panther to dote upon and who, in turn, will devote herself to you with all her heart, body, and soul? If so, visit www.kittydevorerescue.org and fill out an adoption application for Ellie-Rose today!
** Please note: Ellie-Rose currently resides in a Kitty Devore Rescue foster home in Twain Harte, CA (Tuolumne County). Once an adoption application is approved, meet-and-greets are held at the foster home. Approved adopters should be prepared to travel for the visit.

Kitty Devore Rescue is a close-knit, all-volunteer nonprofit founded in 2011 with one heartfelt mission: to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome cats and kittens from Devore Animal Shelter in San Bernardino, CA, and surrounding areas. When we began, only a handful of cats ever made it out of the shelter alive. Today, because of our relentless dedication and the shared efforts of fellow rescue partners, that save rate has soared to nearly 90%.
We’re not a shelter—we’re a foster-based family. Each cat we save lives in the loving care of one of our foster guardians, spread across Southern California and beyond, until they’re ready to meet their forever person. Our volunteers balance careers, families, school, and life’s many demands, yet still pour their hearts into rescue work every single day. For many of us, this isn’t just something we do—it’s who we are.
Every adoption is a promise fulfilled. Every donation fuels another chance. And every cat we place in a warm, devoted home is a story of hope come true—for them and for the people who welcome them.
At Kitty Devore Rescue, we believe every life matters, and every cat deserves to be safe, cherished, and loved for a lifetime.
