My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello! I'm Barrow's Pub and I am a fun, beautiful cuddle bug looking for my forever home! See more pics at https://www.instagram.com/adoptbarrow

Short Bio
Barrow is about 2.5 years old and originally hails from Georgia. He's very friendly and is very easygoing with people and other animals. Overall he's quite calm and content to rest around the apartment, though he does love to come over to you and playfully lick you from time to time or gaze at you with his loving eyes. He also cuddling on the sofa or resting by your feet while you work. He's a great companion and has responded well to leash training and basic commands. He loves recieving and giving affection. Barrow has a great time with kids and playing with other dogs in the park.

Personality & Characteristics
Good with: People, kids, other dogs; even dogs that bark at him. He's also good with other small animals including guinea pigs, though hasn't been tested with cats.
Noise level: Low. Barrow rarely barks.

House training: Barrow is house trained but has an occasional accident when spending a lot time in a new place. He's been left alone for up to eight hours without accidents. In terms of crate training, he can be content in the crate but prefers to sleep on the sofa or share a bed with you. He usually rests in his bed or on the carpet during the day, or on the sofa.
Walking behavior: Barrow is the type of dog that loves to investigate all the poles and scent marks on walks. When he gets comfortable with the area he follows well. He doesn't lash out or pull aggresively.
Energy level: 4/10 -- pretty calm and chill, though occasionally he gets the urge to lick you from head to toe. He's been responding well to stop and no commands.
Appetite: He is food-motivated. Doesn't like peanut butter.
Coat: Mostly black with a few small white spots. Low shedding. Will recieve a bath when needed with little issue.
Cars & subways: Barrow does well in the car and is content to just sit there. He's also fine on the subway.

Dislikes
Barrow isn't too into water. He tends not to go into the water at dog beach. He can tolerate a bath, but only for a short period of time. He also doesn't like vacuums or brooms- when vacuuming or sweeping he'll attack the broom.

ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at  WaldosRescue.org  and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog.  We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs.

Waldos Rescue Pen is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill shelters throughout the United States and Korea.
