My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Mullet was brought in by her previous owner on December 12, 2024.

Why Mullet is the one for you:
Meet Mullet, a lovely girl with a heart as big as her personality! This fun-loving gal is ready to be the life of the party wherever she is! Mullet is no puppy but she often acts like a puppy. She needs further training to curb her impulsive behaviors and reward her good behaviors. We can help you with how to do that with positive reinforcement techniques. Mullet knows a variety of commands like sit, stay, down, look and even crawl. She is one really smart cookie so she should respond to further training very well. She greets people at the front of her kennel with a toy in her mouth, wagging tail and eyes that ask if you have come to take her out - or maybe home. She can get excited so is looking for a quiet home with dog savvy people. Mullet is not interested in sharing and will guard her stuff from other pets, so she will be best in a home without other dogs or cats. She plays well by herself but is always up for a game of fetch with her tennis ball. This spectacular Mullet is ready to crawl her way into your heart! Think Mullet might be the one for you? If so, head on down to meet her today!

At SDHS:
This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed neutered. This pet is now ready for their new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
