Their adoption process

Adoption Fee: $200 to $325. Senior Dogs over 8 are $200. This includes the spay/neuter, vaccinations, and dental if necessary, leash, collar, worming, and microchip. Application process involves an application, phone interview, and home visit. All persons who will be living in the house with the greyhound must be present for a home visit to occur.
We are firmly dedicated to finding the a loving home for every Greyhound lurcher that we rescue. We also require an adoption agreement to be signed on the day of adoption. Please email americanlurcherproject@gmail.com for an Application to Adopt or go to this application link: https://form.jotform.com/220194421732145.

More about this rescue

The American Lurcher Rescue Project, Inc. (“ALP”) aka Ohio Lurcher Project is a 501(c)(3) all volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to the welfare of racing lurchers and greyhound mixes. We work hard to find responsible groups and/or homes when and, if appropriate, for retired racing lurchers and greyhound mixes that have been abandoned or no longer wanted. The ALP transports lurchers to adoption groups, does direct adoptions, and provides basic and emergency medical care, and temporary boarding. We work hard to raise awareness of the need for finding homes for the racing lurchers once their career has ended, through social media, networking, and the general support of a caring community.
