My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Keeva – A Gentle Soul Ready to Bloom 🌸

5-Month-Old Shepherd Mix | Dog-Friendly | Cat-Safe | Best with Older Kids

Keeva’s story is one of resilience and second chances. This sweet 5-month-old shepherd mix found herself on the euthanasia list at a local shelter after a terrifying experience—she got stuck in a fence and, in her panic, bit the people trying to help her. Can you blame her? She was scared, confused, and didn’t know what was happening. Thankfully, she was rescued just in time and has been nothing but a sweetheart since arriving in our care.

Keeva may have never lived in a home before, but she’s learning quickly and soaking up love like a sponge. She’s still discovering the world and will thrive with a patient adopter who can help her build confidence at her own pace.

One thing is clear: Keeva adores other dogs. She lights up around her canine companions and relies on them to help her feel safe and secure. Because of this, Keeva must go to a home with another friendly, playful dog who can show her the ropes and be her buddy in life.

She’s also cat-safe—actually, she’s a little scared of them—so no issues there! Due to her shy and skittish nature, a calm home without young children is best. Older, respectful kids should be just fine,
as long as the environment is peaceful and predictable.

Keeva is still just a baby with a heart full of love to give. She’s looking for someone who sees her potential and is ready to help her blossom into the confident, happy dog she’s meant to be. Could that be you?

Requires a secure stockade fenced back yard.

Keeva is crate-trained but may need continued assistance with house and leash training (we recommend a harness).

Keeva is spayed, current on vaccines and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $225.

Additional adoption info

Every dog that is rescued by Forever Yours is checked by a veterinarian, vaccinated, spay/neutered, dewormed, heartworm/ehrlichia tested and treated if needed, and microchipped. We also treat any other illnesses or issues that the dog may have on intake.

We require an adoption application (FYDRadopt.com), a house check, and our adoption fee is $225.00.

If available, you will get an opportunity to talk to your chosen pet's foster family when you meet your potential new family member. This will enable you to ask any questions and learn all about your pet.

Forever Yours Dog Rescue does not have a facility, all of our wonderful rescues are in foster homes with families that take care of them and love them until their forever homes come along.

More about this rescue

Forever Yours Dog Rescue was founded on November 8th, 2011, with the mission of helping smaller animal shelters located throughout Oklahoma.

We are an Oklahoma City based all-breed 501(c) dog rescue, caring for the unwanted, abandoned, and abused dogs of Oklahoma. We rescue from local shelters and shelters throughout Oklahoma. We do take owner surrender's under certain situations.

We advocate spay/neuter and offer assistance in finding a low-cost option for those that qualify.

We promote adoption as an alternative to buying your pet.
We provide pet ownership education through materials, counceling, and on-site workshops, at no cost to the public, with an emphasis on preventative care.

We are all volunteer based, with no paid employees.
Please support us in our mission to attain a time in Oklahoma when there are homes for all adoptable pets by donating at www.foreveryoursokc.org/donate.
