My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Aria!

Aria is a gentle terrier mix with a tender heart and a shy but loving spirit. She’s been blossoming beautifully in her foster home and showing more confidence every day!

Aria is quiet and well-behaved when left alone, she doesn’t make a peep and keeps her crate clean. She’s learning what toys are for (sometimes a little too enthusiastically!) and has discovered the joy of making “stuffing confetti” from plush toys, so she’s now learning to focus on more durable chew toys instead. She’s still a puppy at heart and figuring things out, but she’s eager to please and learning quickly, she recently learned how to sit, and her foster couldn’t be prouder!

In the home, Aria can still startle easily, but she’s making wonderful progress. She follows her foster everywhere, gets up when they do, and loves to snuggle close once she feels comfortable. When you sit down, she’s right there beside you, or on your lap ready for cuddles. She may be shy with new people at first, but she’s warming up faster every day and did great meeting her foster’s 10- and 13-year-old nieces.

Aria is fostered with two other dogs and gets along well with them. She enjoys their company but is also content to relax quietly by your side. Watching her come out of her shell is truly rewarding she’s curious, affectionate, and starting to show her playful side. She even lets out the cutest little growl-bark-howl combo when she spots something outside!

Aria would do best in a calm, patient home where she can continue to build confidence and feel secure. In return, she’ll give you endless love, sweet snuggles, and the joy of watching her personality blossom day by day.

If you’re looking for a tenderhearted, loyal companion who will love you with her whole heart, Aria is ready to meet you!

Adopting from HEA

FROM OUR FAMILY TO YOURS:
Adoption is a huge deal to us. We make a lifetime guarantee to our companions. In return, we’re asking you to provide a lifetime commitment once you’ve invited a pet to join your family. We’re excited that you're considering adoption. We look forward to working with you to find the right match!

TIMELINE:
Our primary objective is to assure the correct match for the people and the pets that we’re sending to their forever homes. Our goal is to send dogs and cats home as quickly as we can, while still being thorough. Processing times will vary and are largely dependent on our ability to connect with your references, landlord, and veterinarian. To keep the process moving along, please make sure you’ve done your part:
1) Fill out your application completely - missing information slows down the process.
2) Let your references know to expect our call.
3) If you rent, let your landlord know to expect our call.
4) If you currently have pets, ask your veterinarian to be prepared to release your records.

LIFETIME GUARANTEE:
We make a pact with every animal that enters our care: They’re promised a loving home for the rest of their life. In turn, when you make the commitment to adopt, we ask you to make a lifetime commitment. We believe family is forever.
