Rawhide Rescue has successfully adopted over 350 pit bulls and pit mixes into families since 2001. All of our dogs are fully temperament tested, neutered and properly socialized. We would be happy to answer any questions about if your home is the right home for a pit bull, or any of our dogs, and to talk you through the controversy surrounding one of our favorite breeds.
Trigger, is a 4 year-old pit bull mix and is one of the dogs we have had the great fortune to get to know very well. You could not ask for a nicer dog. He is one of our favorites because he is so easy going and sweet. He is the perfect spokesman for his breed. His favorite thing to do is to be petted and cuddled. He really thinks he is a lapdog and will make a great companion. If you are working at home on your computer or watching TV he is content to lie quietly at your feet. He is obedient and knows basic commands and walks very nicely on the leash. He loves all people. He likes female dogs as long as they do not take his toys! We think he would do best as an only dog in the home but he plays well and greets other dogs nicely. We do not know how he would react to a cat in the home so we are suggesting a no-cat home. On top of his wonderful disposition he is a handsome guy whose presence demands respect although his demeanor is gentle and quiet.
He has recently been accompanying one of our volunteers when she runs errands around town. He quietly waits for her in the car and loves going for rides. He also spends some time in her home, enjoying watching her putter around the house from a favorite vantage point on the couch. In Trigger, you have a faithful companion for your walks, rides or just hanging out at home.
If you are looking for a loyal loving companion Trigger is the boy for you.
