My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lance is an 8 year old, neutered male who is in search of a new forever home. You see his owner was killed in a house fire and he has since been living with relatives until he can find a new home to call his very own.

He was a hunting dog for many years while growing up in West Virginia, yet still possesses quite the nose. He is nose driven when outside going for long walks, on a leash. He is well trained to all the basic commands (sit, stay, come, give me-a-paw).

While in the house, he is very comfortable, obedient, calms down very nicely, and quickly becomes a lap dog. Outside, he is indifferent to strangers and is more interested in smells than affection. With those he knows (around our home) though, he just wants to be petted, wrestled, loved, and in our company whether it be on the porch, in the living room, or gardening outside (on a leash). History: Lance was the only survivor of a my brother's house fire in West Virginia. Since there was no one to take care of him, we rescued him and brought him to New Jersey, where we have given a lot of nurturing. However, we are at a time in our lives, where we are unable to give him the time he needs to continue his development. He is neutered and up to date on shots.
