My name is Lexie!

Lexie is a husky who's now over 10 years old, and she has a somewhat sad story. She came to us as an owner surrender on 8/17/2025. Her person moved back to the family farm and Lexie wasn't adjusting well. She was not a fan of the farm cats and made it very well known. Because of this she finds herself with us, looking for a nice retirement home. She is a healthy older dog who has been microchipped, spayed, and fully vetted, and her fee is $125.

Lexie is a pretty gentle gal (unless you're a cat) and loves the company of people. She has done well with kids and male dogs as long as they're respectful. A husky savvy home would be great. Obviously, cats are a no and we're erring on the side of caution when it comes to other small animals, too. Lexie is really a beautiful soul who loves to engage in the sing song "talk" of huskies.

NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org.

We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 south.

We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.
