Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hey there! I’m Koda, a 6-year-old Staffy/Heeler mix with a whole lot of love and a surprising amount of strength (seriously, don’t let the “middle age” thing fool you, I’ve still got power in these paws!).
I may be strong, but my heart is even bigger. I’m a total people dog! I'm friendly, affectionate, and always down to make new friends. Whether we’re going for a walk, tossing a toy around, or just hanging out on the couch, I’m happy as long as I’m with you.
I’ve got that perfect mix of mature and playful: old enough to know some manners, young enough to still keep up on adventures. I'm loyal, loving, and ready to be someone's best buddy.
If you're looking for a dog who's built like a tank but soft as a teddy bear on the inside, that’s me. Come meet me and see for yourself!

More about this shelter
The Oahu SPCA was founded in April of 2009 and launched its mission, "Every healthy, treatable animal will find a forever home." The overwhelming support of community members was instrumental in helping to establish the first animal shelter in the state of Hawaii with a "no-kill philosophy." On July 18, 2009, 432 animals were relinquished to the Oahu SPCA the Largest Animal Rescue in the history of Hawaii. The Oahu SPCA rescued all 432 animals in 48 hours after the owner of an animal sanctuary in Waianae passes away.
