My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Jessie!
I’m a soft-hearted sweetheart with a gentle soul and a whole lot of love to give!

I might be a little shy when we first meet, but don’t let that fool you—I’m just taking my time to get to know you. Once I know I’m safe, I’ll be your most loyal companion, always nearby and ready for cuddles. I love to snuggle—on the couch, in your lap, or watching TV in bed any of this will work for me!

I’m not high energy, but I do enjoy playtime! A game of chase in the yard or a romp with a dog friend makes me happy, and then I’m perfectly content to settle down for a nap. I’m crate trained, potty trained, and have good house manners (I am working on down, but that's because I love my humans so much and get excited to see them).

I’m the kind of dog who fits right into your routine—whether it’s a quiet evening at home, watching my human siblings play sports or playing with their friends in the backyard, or taking a walk around the neighborhood - I am down for any of it! Let's not forget car rides, I like those too!

I get along great with other dogs and adore people of all ages—both big and small. A fenced yard and a dog buddy would be lovely. What I really want is someone who will be patient, gentle, and ready to let me bloom into the best friend I know I can be!

If you’re looking for a calm, loving companion who will be your shadow and your snuggle buddy, I’m your girl.

Thanks for considering me, Jessie💕

All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption.

Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.

More about this rescue

The mission of Warrior Dog Rescue is to save the dogs that are homeless, left abandoned in shelters, are surrendered by their owners, those that are being abused and neglected, and those that are left wandering. We are committed to providing them the medical care they need, helping them to overcome their past by providing them loving, educated foster homes, finding them their perfect forever home by means of a thorough adoption process, and guiding them on their journey into their new life. They all deserve a “good dog life… every single one of them.”

Warrior Dog Rescue will be a model rescue by partnering with overcrowded shelters that need to make room for more abandoned dogs. We will continue to educate others about responsible dog ownership in regards to safety, spay/neuter, nutrition, obedience, socializing, abuse, and neglect. We acknowledge that we will have a role in this industry to take the lead on providing awareness to others in the community and across the country. Every dog will know what it feels like to be loved till the end of their life.
