My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chevy is a 2 year old black male with natural ears. He is a beautiful boy, with white on his chest and very tall. He is very outgoing and social. He loves going on walks and does very well on a loose leash. He also loves riding in the car, and has excellent car manners, sitting up and watching the world go by. Chevy is playful, and does well with other dogs, though he does like to be the center of attention. He has been introduced to cats, and while he clearly wanted to play, he did not chase them. He has a lot of energy, but he also has very good manners. His foster family is still working with him on controlling his enthusiasm when greeting people, but he is very motivated to please, and is very easy to train. When Chevy first came to us a few months ago, he was painfully thin, and was having difficulty walking properly. He was diagnosed with mild hip dysplasia, started on a glucosamine supplement, and put on an exercise regimen to build his muscles. The difference is amazing - he is still slightly uncoordinated, but he now romps with abandon, and will even bound up stairs three at a time. He will do very well in a home with older kids (due to that energy level), or with active adults.
