What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Penny was adopted by my partner and I from a local shelter in order for our older dog to have a companion and to save her from being euthanized at the shelter. She is an affectionate cuddle with us and loves to run and play outside . She loves people, and is sweet, smart, and eager to please. We have ongoing training with her with a professional trainer to teach her basic commands including sit, stay, leave it, etc. She is a constant companion and is happy to cuddle with you on the couch or go for a long walk. She has much energy and is still relatively young, so she would do well with owners that seek a challenging yet rewarding pet that has the love of a lifetime to give.
She does have jealous tendencies with affection given to our other pets and will herd them away from us, as well as tendencies to guard food we are eating at the table. In the future, she would do best as an only pet who has all the love in the world to give to her owners.
