But love is patient. Day after day, soft voices, warm laps, and endless kindness slowly melted the walls around his fragile heart. Now, that same scared little soul leaps into arms with joyful purrs, chases sunbeams across the floor, and curls up at night with a contented sigh.
Yet some shadows linger. A slammed door, a sudden reach—Buddy still flinches, his tiny body tensing as memories of thunder and fear rush back.
