Take the Pet Home
It’s always sad when an eight-year-old dog needs to find a new home, but we were especially sorry that Sophie had to be relinquished due to her family‘s housing issues. Sometimes life hands you lemons, and other times it’s good. Sophie took it all in stride when she first came to us, but we know she is sad that she doesn’t have a loving teenager taking care of her anymore, and we know she misses her mom. She had been with one family her entire life. we are doing our best to fill in an offer her quiet times during the day, but it’s pretty stressful at the shelter. Sophie is house trained, and appreciate a nice snuggly bed to sleep in without destroying it. she has been good with most of the other dogs she meets, although she’s not happy to meet them through the fence at the kennel run gates. She met a kitten today at the shelter and was basically interested and then ready to move on without feeling like she had to spend time with it. she enjoyed a car ride to McDonald’s, and then was glad to get back home to the shelter. Can you offer this dog a nice quiet place to rest, and a place to call home? That’s what she needs. She is spayed, microchipped, current with vaccines and a heartworm test.
