My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Katya: A Quiet Heart Looking for Her Forever Valentine

Like the softest love song playing in the background, Katya is gentle, sensitive, and beautifully understated. At 4½ years old, she’s learning that safety, warmth, and companionship can be found in steady routines and kind hearts. Her trust doesn’t happen all at once, it blossoms slowly, like a rose opening petal by petal.

Katya can still be shy and prefers not to be approached by hands, but she shows her affection in the sweetest, most meaningful ways. She’ll weave around your legs like a little figure eight of love, chirp soft hello’s, and walk beside you with her tail quivering. Her quiet way of saying, “You’re my person.”

If startled, she may flutter away like a breeze, but she always comes back, choosing closeness again and again. She enjoys simply being near you, sharing space, sharing calm, sharing the moment. It’s a gentle kind of devotion that feels extra special because it’s earned.

Katya coexists well with calm, respectful cats, but she truly thrives in a peaceful, patient home that lets her set the pace. No grand gestures, just slow mornings, soft voices, and love built day by day.

For the right person, Katya offers a rare kind of bond: the quiet, forever kind that grows deeper with time.

If your heart believes the best love stories are the gentle ones, Katya might just be your perfect Valentine.

Katya FIV/FeLV negative, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. Her birthday is estimated to be 5/22/2021.

More about this rescue

The mission of the Karma Cat Rescue Society is to provide a safe and peaceful haven for homeless, abandoned or abused animals. We will help decrease the number of cats and dogs being destroyed in kill shelters through the work of our foster, spay/neuter, trap-neuter-return, and education programs.

The vision of the Karma Cat Rescue Society is a world where every companion animal is respected, fed, warm, happy, and not in danger of being killed because it is temporarily homeless.
