Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Damon, a handsome 5-year-old gentleman who’s ready to settle into his next chapter of life! Damon came to us with his wife and son after their family could no longer care for them, and he’s been an absolute sweetheart ever since. This laid-back guy is all about the good things in life—cozy blankets, tasty treats, and a comfy bed to snooze in after a nice walk. Don’t be fooled by his relaxed vibe, though—when he’s feeling it, Damon can be a strong boy on leash! He’s also super housebroken here at the shelter, crate trained, and wonderfully quiet.
Damon has the softest “old man eyes” that melt everyone’s heart, and he’s looking for a calm, loving home—preferably without cats and with older teens who can appreciate his chill personality. He can be a bit selective with other dogs, which is pretty typical for a mature male who’s gone most of his life unneutered, so we’d require a meet and greet to make sure it’s a good match. He really adores his lady friend Elena, so a female friend may be best. If you’re looking for a mellow, affectionate companion who loves people, cuddles, naps, and a bit of adventure, Damon is your guy! Come meet this sweet soul and give him the cozy “retirement” home he truly deserves.
