Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Please read this post in its entirety. Please acknowledge that you have done so. Your response and inquiry serve as your preliminary application. Your first questionPlease provide the requested information. I cannot stress that enough. I need more than 'I want a dog, live in a house and will love her'. You will see Rosalie and Billie Jean with separate profile pics. Introducing this magnificent duo- Rosalie and Billie Jean. They are sisters who have been well-loved by one owner since wee puppies. Life-changing events take dad to a warmer climate and a significant change in environment. We believe it is in their best interest to find an equally devoted family here in the States- more specifically in the Pacific Northwest.. It seems the prudent, loving choice. These bonded beauties are very similar in nature, stature, and gentleness. I suspect they would miss each other more than their devoted papa. Both will celebrate their 20th birthdays on December 6th. The regal and beautiful Rosalie- aka- Ms.Rosa is a presumed Newfy/Great Pry mix, weighing in at 100 pounds. Her distinct badger-like markings give her the look of a formidable challenger. Although she is protective of her people and property and will let you know- 'I am big, bodacious and bold- don't mess my people,' she has the soft and gentle side of a devoted and adoring companion. Ms.Rosa loves to be a protector and companion of children and cats. She is a gentle leash-walker, joyful traveler, and eager pleaser with the affectionate Pyr-Paw shake. Ms. Rosa loves attention, naps, stuffed animals, soccer balls, and sunsets. She has great recall- and doesn't display that stubborn nature of some Great Pyrs. Billie Jean weighs in at approximately 115 pounds- and she could stand to lose a few pounds. She is a super sweet lady who loves cuddles, gentle strokes across her back, and lying out on the porch keeping a lookout for anything alerting or alarming. After her morning watch, she looks forward to a warm nap in the sun. Then she is ready for a busy afternoon welcoming visitors, burying toys, going on car rides, and discovering new adventures to explore with her sister. Billie Jean has the more easygoing disposition of the Newfoundland and the protection of the Pyrenees. She prefers to walk a little slower on a leash. Unlike Ms.Rosa, she does have that little bit of make-me, devil-may-care, stubbornness when she is called. Her endearing qualities far outweigh this occasional stubborn streak. The ideal family will have a spacious fenced property, welcome them into the comforts of a warm, loving, and maybe a giant sofa to stretch out on. They are not lawn ornaments or dogs to be left out in a field or on a mountain. They did come from a ranch where they were bred to guard goats. But they mostly guard family, cats, stuffed animal toys, and property. Will you be the lucky one to welcome this bodacious, engaging, delightful pair? Tell us about you, your family, your activities, your property, the city you live in, other pets in your home, and whatever else puts you on top. The more information about you, the better. What can this companion expect from you, and what are your expectations of him/her? Additionally, we will not meet halfway. Please prepare to meet in person without hurry, and be willing to have a home evaluation and viewing of your social media. There is a reasonable fee for placement to offset the cost of medical and care. Your first question should not be how much. My highest priority is to be placed in a wonderful home. Age-appropriate placement is at the discretion of the guardian advocate. Please allow several or more days for a response, as I review inquiries. I appreciate your understanding. Raleigh's Rescue Advocacy. *DNA testing is not performed, and we can only give you an assumed breed or breed mix.
