Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Kane is a handsome Border Collie mix with a sensitive soul and a heart full of love just waiting for the right person to unlock it.
This sweet boy can be timid with strangers and new places. In fact, after he was adopted once before, he got spooked and ended up on his own for nearly a month. But here’s what that tells us about Kane: he needs patience, understanding, and a home that will help him feel safe and secure.
Once Kane knows he’s safe, his true personality shines. He absolutely adores attention — especially belly rubs — and he’ll happily repay you with a shower of sweet kisses. His tail wags a little harder, his eyes soften, and you can practically see the trust growing day by day.
Kane loves to stretch his legs, running and playing in our fenced area with pure joy. Walks are one of his favorite things, and he lights up when it’s time for playdates. He enjoys meeting new dogs and truly thrives when he has a canine buddy to romp around with.
Underneath his cautious exterior is an energetic, affectionate, and deeply loyal companion. Kane isn’t looking for just any home — he’s looking for his person. Someone who understands that the best relationships are built on patience and trust.
If you’re willing to give him the time he needs, Kane will give you something truly special in return: unwavering love, playful adventures, and a bond that only comes from helping a shy heart feel safe again.
Could you be the fresh start Kane has been waiting for? 🐾

The whole process is easy and takes a matter of in-office minutes. While we like for our animals to find homes, we require adopting families to meet in our shelter. That way you can meet your new family member and make sure he/she is the one for you. Then we do the paperwork which takes only a little time. We look forward to meeting you.
